PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS

CAPTURING THE CONNECTION BETWEEN YOUR FAMILY

FUN AND CANDID FAMILY
PHOTOGRAPHY

the value of timeless memories

Right now, it might feel like you’ll always remember how small their hands were or how they fit perfectly on your hip, but time moves quickly.

time moves quickly...

One day, these photographs will transport you back, letting you relive the love, the laughter, and even the little quirks that make your family uniquely yours.

Gone are the days of stiff, posed portraits. The best family photos are the ones where everyone feels at ease, free to be themselves. Whether it’s a playful walk in the park, giggles on the sofa, or chasing the waves at the beach, a relaxed session lets your family's personality shine through. No forced smiles—just real moments, beautifully captured.

These images won’t just sit on your phone; they’ll become part of your family’s history. Whether displayed in your home, tucked into an album, or shared with loved ones, they’ll be cherished for generations to come.

Let’s capture your family’s story!

It doesn't matter if the kids are running around like crazy, mini-beings or if your teenagers are scowling at the camera because you're going to laugh about it afterwards and that's the best part.

TESTIMONIALS

We have asked Fiona to photograph our family twice, following the arrival of new babies. We couldn't recommend her more! She is patient, fun, creative and hugely talented. She captured the most beautiful pictures and made the whole process so fun and enjoyable - the children loved her, and the relaxed and happy atmosphere she created is very clear in the photos. We are very grateful and will certainly book another session in the future. Thank you!

KEEPING YOUR FAMILY PHOTOS
FUN AND RELAXED

working with me

Your family photos shouldn’t feel like a chore or a staged performance. They should be a reflection of who you are—full of love, laughter, and connection.

A Walk in the Woods-18.jpg

It’s about real connection,

That’s why I take a relaxed, natural approach to family sessions, making sure the experience is just as enjoyable as the final images.

If the kids are full of beans, we’ll run, jump, and play. If they’re feeling shy, we’ll ease into things gently, giving them space to warm up. The key is to keep things moving and playful—there’s no pressure to sit still or ‘get it right.’ The best photos happen when you’re simply being yourselves.

We’ll play games, chase each other, and capture those little in-between moments—the hand squeezes, the belly laughs, the way your child looks up at you with pure adoration. It’s about real connection, and by making the experience enjoyable, we create natural, beautiful images that truly feel like you.

When you look back at these photos, I want you to remember the feeling of the day—the fun, the closeness, and the love. That’s what makes them so special.

DON'T LET YOUR NEVERS GET
IN THE WAY OF YOUR
FAMILY PHOTOS

The only thing you'll regret is not having them

I get it—being in front of the camera can feel awkward. You might worry about where to stand, what to do with your hands, or if you’ll look natural. But here’s the thing: none of that matters when it comes to capturing the love and connection within your family.

Years from now, you won’t be thinking about whether your hair was perfect or if you felt a little unsure at first. You’ll see the laughter, the cuddles, the way your child held your hand so tightly, the way they looked at you with pure love. These are the moments that make up your family’s story—the moments that deserve to be remembered.

Candid family photography is about capturing real connections. No forced smiles, no stiff poses—just you and your family being yourselves, exactly as you are right now. The giggles, the chaos, the quiet snuggles—these moments will only grow more precious with time.

One day, these photos will become part of your family’s legacy, an heirloom to pass down to your children. A reminder of how much they were loved and how much they belonged. You will never regret capturing these moments, but you might regret not doing it sooner.

I remember like yesterday, watching Lewis decorate his gingerbread man, the night before I went in to labour with Natalie, and I recall how small his little hands were, his fingernails and how he struggled to squeeze the icing out of the tube.

The next morning, with Natalie in my arms, I distinctly remember looking at his once tiny hands and thinking how huge they were.

He turned into a mini-giant overnight, my mini giant.

FUN, RELAXED FAMILY PHOTOS, BLOG CORNER

Arranging to have your photos taken by a professional might seem daunting but it could be the best thing you ever do.

TAKE IT FROM ME; FAMILY PHOTOS ARE EVERYTHING

With blink of an eye the moment was gone

One thing I regret more than anything is not getting professional photos taken of our own family.

Take it from me—you'll live to regret this. I was always the one with the camera, the one capturing memories for us and our family.

Of course, I'd ask Richard to take the odd one of me, and there are a few shots of us together. But you know what they’re missing? They’re missing connection and feeling. They’re missing us being a family of four. They’re missing the soul of us.

What do I mean?

When you take a posed photo, everyone is aware of the camera. You're all looking, and because of this, there's no character or connection between you. There are plenty of photos of my husband playing with the kids—but not me. And I regret that so much. My children are grown up now. It's too late. Those memories live in my head, and while that's fine, I’ll never have anything to share or show.

Make sure you don’t fall into the same trap. Be brave, be bold, and capture those moments of togetherness before time passes by.
