At the beginning of June, I had the pleasure of photographing Sioned and Will’s incredible marquee wedding, a vibrant and joyous celebration set on the grounds of their North Yorkshire Farm. These two party animals, who met on their first night of the final year at Harper Adams University, brought their infectious energy and love for life to every moment of their special day.
A Proposal by the Pond
Will proposed last summer near the pond on his family farm, a place rich with sentimental value for the couple. To celebrate their engagement, they headed up The Heights, the picturesque hills near Barton-le-Street, for a pre-planned picnic. This spot, dear to their hearts, became an integral part of their wedding day. They made sure to incorporate it into their celebration with a brief visit for photos during the golden hour, capturing the love and joy they share in a place that means so much to them.
A Day Filled with Fun and Laughter
Sioned and Will’s wedding was a reflection of their personalities—light-hearted, fun-loving, and deeply connected. They were most excited about sharing one of the most special days of their lives with their nearest and dearest.
“We can’t wait to have all our best friends and family all in one place to celebrate us getting married,” they said.
The couple's excitement was palpable throughout the day. Sioned eagerly anticipated the speeches and dancing the night away, while Will looked forward to the evening’s food, marking the end of their wedding diet with delicious pizza and fish & chips. Their enthusiasm and love for life were contagious, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
The Traditions of the day, a Church Wedding in their local community.
These two couldn't imagine getting married anywhere other than Barton-le-Street Church, this is where their home and future lie. Clearly, already deeply rooted in the local community, they have become cherished members of this close-knit village. Their wedding day was a testament to this bond, with neighbours and friends coming out in full force to participate in the traditional gate-tying as they watched them arrive and leave the church.
A Blush Pink Dream for Will and Sioned's North Yorkshire Marquee Wedding
The wedding decor featured a beautiful blush pink theme. Sioned’s bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses, complemented throughout the day by the flowers, table settings, and a stunning blush pink blossom tree that served as the centrepiece of the round bar in the marquee. The soft, romantic hue added elegance and charm to the celebration, perfectly matching the joyous mood of the day.
Capturing Golden Moments
One of the most magical moments was the golden hour photo session at The Heights. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the hills, Sioned and Will’s love shone brightly. The golden light provided a breathtaking backdrop, highlighting their happiness and the deep connection they share. These photos captured not just their beauty, but the essence of their relationship—filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A Night to Remember
As the day turned into night, the celebration continued with lively dancing and heartfelt speeches. Sioned and Will’s friends and family gathered to toast their happiness, sharing stories and laughter that echoed through the marquee.
The evening was made even more special with live music from Rich Reeves and his band, a group that Sioned and Will fell in love with during their time at Harper Adams. Having Rich Reeves perform was a nostalgic nod to their university days and a treat for their guests, many of whom were also Harper alumni. The band’s lively performance kept everyone on the dance floor, ensuring the night was filled with music, dancing, and joy.
Sioned and Will's North Yorkshire marquee wedding was a testament to their love for each other and their zest for life. Their infectious energy and genuine connection made it a day to remember, filled with beautiful moments and unforgettable memories. It was an honour to capture their special day, and I wish them a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness together.
